Paul Gray, Slipknot
Posted on May.27, 2010 under Bill Ward, Other Music
My wife and I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to Paul Gray’s family and friends. Our condolences also extend to each member of Slipknot. We wish everyone who knew Paul love, tolerance and eventual peace of mind.
Paul played in an incredible band. He was an incredible bass player. His death is another big loss for metal music, but his spirit and his love will forever ascend and teach.
Thanks for the music, Paul.

Dear Bill, That was indeed a heart-felt statement. You are a legend Bill. But I truly hope you find it in your heart to one day forgive Ronald for the grudges you hold against him. Let it go.
Long may you live.
Regards,
Daryl

I thought Bill did fine tribute to Ronnie, I personally think that his “grudge” was not that deep, I myself have some hard feelings about some things I think Bill should have been included in. I’m sure he had forgiven him some time ago as Bill is a wonderful human being. the thoughts will still be there though as “What could have been”. Bill is a Fine musician on his own and I believe he can do great without working with Tony and Geezer but hopefully they will be together again for at least another reunion. It would have been great even if they asked Bill do “some” of the drumming on the Heaven and Hell tours.
As an Ozzy era SABS fan I also must say that Dio was great too, and it didnt stop there though, the four founding members of Black Sabbath opened up a great world of music that spawned many other great bands.
after Ozzy’s departure when Dio stepped in it brought back Rainbow, Ian Gillian’s arrival brought back Deep Purple, with Ozzy’s new band Quite Riot, I was lucky to see Blue Oyster Cult with Rudy Sarzo just recently at the Stockton Asparagus Festival. with the musicians that Ozzy played with that left and made new bands are to numerous to count. maybe sometimes there are hard feelings in the music business but Love conquers those hard feelings.
I was really hurt when Ozzy had departed from the SABS but the Music we love will Live forever in our hearts.
RIP – Dio, Peter Steele, Paul Gray, Randy Rhoads, Cozy Powell, and the list goes on..
