Rock 50 March Preview
Posted on Mar.22, 2012 under Rock 50
H! Everyone,
On Saturday, March 24th we’ll be airing our Metal/Hard Rock show. There’s lots of new stuff this month. In the second hour of the show, I’ll be playing some Rock and Blues — in my opinion, some of the most influential artists that without knowing, paved the way to Hard Rock and Metal. Kind of a family tree show!!!
Check us out.
Stay safe. Stay strong.
–Bill

Hi Bill, listened to your Rock 50 show for the first time last Sat. Loved how you represented the origins of “metal” from Wagner thru Elvis & Buddy Holly and then Hendrix’s Star Spangled Banner. It certainly was quite an, “Era.”
I’ll be listening from now on so keep up the great work educating the young metal fans about the history of their (and all of our’s) music.
Peace & Love from NJ,
Lenny

Bill – if I were asked what musician I would like to meet, and only had one chance, you would be that musician.
Sabbath changed my life course at a very young age, and now that music is in heavy rotation in my home, car or anywhere I can listen.
There is no doubt that Sabbath and peaked my interest in Drums. I made the transition from piano. Not a happy day in the parent’slife.
Though I never did much with the drums, I have cranked up and played along plenty of times.
I hope you are able to get back with the band; if I could make that contract signable, I would. Not just anyone can hold your rhythms.
At first I thought maybe your statement was to soften the blow of Tommy’s medical news. Maybe, but that’s just paranoia sneaking up on me. After all, Paranoid was my first official Sabbath buy!
Good luck and best wishes to you and yours.

Hey Bill, remember me from Seal Beach? Glad to see and hear that you are doing so well. I still have the notes that you would leave for me when you stayed with us. Keep the faith and stay on track one day at a time.
