“The End” Tour Response

Posted on Jan.25, 2016, under Black Sabbath

I must respond once again to inaccurate statements made by Geezer.  I never received an offer to play the final show of The End tour with Black Sabbath.  When the tour was confirmed, my management reached out to the Black Sabbath management to inquire as to whether or not they would like to discuss my participation in the tour.  We were told there was no interest. That is last conversation we had with them regarding the tour.

I will say that I wouldn’t want to play only one gig when I am completely capable of touring.  I would not validate their untrue statements about my health by playing only one gig.  Also, I wouldn’t want to show up for only some of our fans and not for all our fans when I could have played multiple shows.

November Rock 50 Preview

Posted on Nov.17, 2015, under Rock 50

H! Everyone,

Our Rock 50 show airs on November 21st, 2015.  In keeping with November 11th, Veterans and Armistice Day, our show will be in two parts, starting at 11 AM Pacific, the first hour will be Metal wall to wall.  Our second hour, around noon time, will be songs to honor the fallen of all wars since 1914 and the Armistice of November 11th, 1918.  We say thank you to the men and women who have served and survived.   We will remember the homeland suffering, as well as the bitter loss that war is.  We hope to bring an honorable and reflective mood to our last hour, and if you like hard-core Metal we’ll pound you in our first hour.  No drum segue this month or on our Christmas show.  Drum segues come back on our January 2016 show.

Stay safe.  Stay strong.

–Bill

September Rock 50 Preview

Posted on Sep.09, 2015, under Rock 50

H! Everybody,

Our radio show airs on Saturday, September 12, 2015.  We’ll be playing great metal and new metal releases.  Our drum segue will feature Ian Paice of Deep Purple fame, a great and innovative rock drummer.

We’ll also be making a special dedication for those who died and those who still mourn and feel the effects of the devastating terrorist attacks on 9/11 2001.  We’ll play some Beatles, Foo Fighters, Cream and Jimi Hendrix as a way of paying our respects.  Although a solemn occasion, the show will rock.  Check us out if you can.

Stay safe and rock forever and ever,

Bill

Absence of Corners

Posted on Aug.17, 2015, under Rock 50

A message for all those nice people who attended the Sunday show at Fathom Gallery in LA.   I know I met quite a few of you, but I am saddened and have to say I’m sorry I didn’t meet all of you.  Normally, I like to shake hands with everyone who attends.  On Sunday, this handshake and hugs ritual didn’t fully transpire, and I regret that.  I hope all of you had a good time, and I appreciate that you came to visit the art pieces and participate in the emotions that flowed between us.  For those of you I didn’t say goodbye to, I’ll say it now – goodbye my friends, I wish you happiness and positive energy in your lives.  Stay safe and strong.  To my longtime friends who I also didn’t get to meet, I love you.  And to all, perhaps we’ll meet again.  Be good to yourselves.

Rock forever,
Bill Ward
